If my husband’s nose ever grows, it’ll be on a rainy day.
And I’m not even sure why he lies, but he does. Sure as it was raining outside, he sat on our couch and said, “I really don’t mind the rain. I mean, I kind of like it. Except when it’s cold or really wet.”
Truth is, he hates when it rains unless it’s National Nap Day.
On the other hand, I lap it up. I walk in it, shop in it, and find reasons to run errands when it’s pouring. I love eating out and sitting by the window, watching the drops splash all over everyone and everything. He’d rather be eating soup at home.
The most expensive jacket I own is my raincoat. It’s worth every penny my husband paid even if he’d rather never go places with me when I’m wearing it.
After I listened to him justify why he didn’t like that day’s rain, but usually he’s fine with wet days, I questioned “Why do we have such difficulty accepting who we are?”
He’s a rainy day scrooge, it’s simple as that. It’s never stopped me from dragging him out to play.
What are you denying about yourself that is glaringly obvious to everyone around you?
WRite wHere I’m supposed to be – It’s okay not to like something while still loving and accepting ourselves. During rainy seasons, let’s practice sloshing around in puddles of self-love.

I LOVE this! I do that all the time! Say I like something but I just want to because Ryan likes it so much. Guess I need to realize we aren\’t twins and don\’t need to be just a like. Thanks for the insight. I hate cold weather. There I said it.
Dad is so funny about rainy days! He tries really hard to like them because they\’re my favorite. I think it\’s enough that he\’ll go with me now even though he whines a little.
